What a treat to hear such a great recording. Every note is clear and contributes to the musical phrase. The only comment is that I wish he held on to those chords at the end a tad bit longer >.>.

completely agree!!! you are absolutely right!! Lipatti's rendition is all very organic, all the virtuosity is serving the musical purposes.... all the difficult passages have a meaning... it's so easy to show off in this concerto... despite this fact, there is not even one single fake note in this recording... one can feel that every single note of it carries Lipatti's full soul!
