@TheDisproof I have no doubt that it is from the 90's. But when I compare this doc to the reports we get from Afghanistan now, I can't help wondering whether anything has changed there at all in the last 20 years. The pictures look terribly familiar. Except for the graininess.

@TomFynn John Simpson has been to the country many times, he talks about it in his several of his biographies which are an excellent read, if I recall it was in the 90's as the russians have already left (1989). He was probably working with cameraman Peter Jouvenal.
