Written, Performed and Directed by David Cale
Palomino is a brilliant new play that follows Kieren McGrath, a beautiful, literate, and mysterious Irish Central Park carriage driver. Kieren dreams of writing a book, and when the opportunity to become an escort to rich, lonely women in NYC comes up, he's found his subject. Or has he? Mr. Cale is an Obie Award-winning author and virtuoso performer whose accomplished and inspiring monologues have been featured on NPR's "This American Life" and "The Next Big Thing" and on BBC Radio 4's "Afternoon Play." As a lyricist, his words have been performed by Elvis Costello, Deborah Harry and the Jazz Passengers.
David, PLEASE put out a CD of your music. I saw you perform at RealArtWays in Hartford one Sunday afternoon. Small audience but UNFORGETTABLE performance and it breaks my heart that I may never hear those songs again. PLEASE!
