In my opinion the band was never the same again after Kieth and Donna left. I never liked the sound Brent got from the keyboards as compared to Keith. But, The Dead was such a great band with so many different phases that there is something for everyone to enjoy

I saw the Dead from 1971 to 1990 after that, they were not that good anymore and after i met them i was done, they are people like you and me!

TNAsWWv2 -I met the Dead in Phila & they came to my House in the West End Jamacia.
Bret was ok but I must say ,you never saw PigPen so how would you know. The Dead didnot care about LP ,They were the best at Live band to play for the people that toured with them any where they went.Bret was just a list of keyboad players that died of Druges,so they got a new one! brent sucked-Give me just a little sweetness ...Just a little light sick song! not the dead, but young Brent

I love the slow pace of this jam. Its one of my favorite St Stephens

@grifftrain I agree a hundred percent...saw them in the 70's..IMHO..they were at their best then..after that was a train wreck

@philagerryberry714 they might be the originals, but they hit there peak in the 80's with Brent. The song "Touch of Grey" is what really got the world wide, even though true DeadHead's know there albums were nothing compared to all there live shows.
