it's not though that's the thing, evaluative's good for a quick shot. but realistically you should use spot metering so you know what part of your image requires what exposure.

Awesome! Who would dislike this video? This guy explains it perfectly and with the visual aid he supplied, I totally get it now... definitely the best tutorial on metering i found on youtube

@KriegsMaschine No, he doesn't. But if you want say a face properly exposed with a bright background go for the centre setting, and the face will be exposed properly.

Ya he doesn't say why and in which situations should I use the other metering mode because the results seems to be worse almost all the time I use something other than "Evaluative".
I'm not buying the dvd. If there are 4 totally different metering modes why then should i use mostly evaluative?
You could show in which cases and why we should uses the specific metering mode

God, I have been using spot metering all the time and wondering why sometimes my exposure are off. I'm now liberated. Thanks.
