Great Rifle for under $140... (in the review I mistakenly say $130... my bad) Here we take a look of one of my favorite rifles from Gamo. Their Big Cat 1200 is a powerful, budget, rifle that shoots well and hit hard. The scope and trigger are the weak points.

  • My friend said that PBA pellets don't ruin the gun as long as you oil the barrel a lot but a lot of videos said that they ruin the barrel who is write

  • @mbates123456

I don't think they will "ruin" the barrel.. The steel barrel is harder than the pellets.. BUT, you can possibly wear out your main seal and spring prematurely. The bigger issue is that they are just terrible pellets.. they are very, very inaccurate at any range that really matters (past 15 or 20 yards).

    cheers

  • hey how are you? the video is great i purchased this gun maybe a week ago and been having a load of fun with it but the accuracy on this gun is questionable at first it was off so i zeroed it out and i was shooting a half inch group all day and i went to go shoot maybe a hour later and it started shooting 5 inch groups i seen comments about it saying you have to rest it on a soft object since its spring air but i shot perfectly on a wood rail... any reasons to this? thank you

  • @Antliveeee26

There are a lot of factors that can affect accuracy.. generally you want to rest it only on your hand.. Email me directly if you want to chat more.

    Cheers

  • hey rick,

i'm planing on buying an air gun for shooting pigeons and crows on a little higher distance of about 50 to 75 yards on my property.

would you recommend the big cat in the .177 or .22 cal. version?

which one is more accurate on the distance?

  • @000konto000

a .22 is going to be more accurate.. but you should watch the latest Take AIM, episode 11, for some tips on realistic airgun hunting.

    cheers

  • That bug almost flew in your mouth at 5:59 XD

  • random little girl wtf?

  • @DYLANTHESK8ER

For hunting you really want something in a .22.. consider the Crosman optimus or a gamo in .22 cal. If you can spend a bit more, the Benjamin Trail NP all weather in .22 is a great option.

  • Which gun is better for the backyard hunter. The Gamo 1200, 1250 or Ruger air hawk?
