"Live and let live" attitude? I guess I got the wrong memo, because I always assumed her motto was "Live and let live 'til I shoot it from a helicopter."

The guy actually said that he and ann coulter can work perfectly together in an interview on vbs. He's mad.

Conservatism, Huntermann, involves the preservation of personal and local freedom through limited, free market politics. For conservatives, the goal is not entitlement but opportunity. Conservatism, therefore, is inherently opposed to fundamentalist, biblically relativist state agenda and the legislation of marriage entitlement (DOMA, legislated by CLINTON) Conservatism, has nothing to do with retrograde prejudice against women, blacks, or the lgbt community.

To me being gay and republican sounds like a joke, kinda like a vegetarian who cooks at a steakhouse, or a blind person working as a graphic artist... Left, liberal, socialist, communist, etc. any gays that are of those parties is fine, but republican?! You must be kidding.
-
You can easily do that if you make them sound ilogic when you refute all their statements with something smarter. Believe me, there is nothing they could possibly say in favor of their "conservative" ideas and specially against the gay civil rights movement.

that sounds good...I like that. I am really wanting to knock the heads (figuritively) off my peers in the class who are all like pro-life (and pro-war which makes no sense) and anti-same-sex marriage.

Hey, Im fully wit you bud. I would advice you to start your presentation doing a pararelism with the balck civil rights movement and also interracial marriage (Loving v. Virginia, 1967) and both rulings of the Supreme Court in those cases. Also you could talk about the differences between marriage and civil unions, how the CA Supreme court ruled based on those differences, and also many other studies showing c. unions create a sense of second class citizenship. Good luck!

I am writing a paper and doing a presentation on same-sex marriage. I want to argue on behalf of it. I want to argue my support but I don't know where to start...however the idea of log-cabin republicans is now hovering in my mind. so if of you homosexuals (whom i support completely...though i am not one) have any advice please help me.

Hey, I'm a democrat who supports same-sex marriage. I may be straight but i'm not stupid nor heartless. I'm Pro-choice, pro-love, and totally equality of everyone. I think gays and lebians should be allowed the same marriage that we have...and marriage is not sacred at all. AT ALL! don't let anyone tell you other wise.
He and the rest of these idiots need to realize that PALIN would love to put them all in a gas chamber like Hitler

Palin vetoed the bill not because she thought it was "the right thing" to do, but because she was advised by the Alaska Dept. of Law that the bill was unconstitutional. She has never offered support for domestic partner benefits, and is strongly opposed to same-sex marriage. The idea that Palin is somehow a moderate on same sex issues is foolish wishful thinking. And why any self-respecting gay person would want to be a Republican these days?! Independent or Dem makes much more sense.
