  • His statistics are a complete fabrication. Socialized Medicine IS superior to our corporate health care system. Unless you are very wealthy, in that case, it is great. If you support our current system- you are either stupid or heartless and rich.

  • this, ladies and gentlemen, is a complete non sequitur.

i ask you, what are the chances of surviving prostate cancer if you are uninsured and don't get treated?

  • There is a feces on our species. It's name is Rudy Giuliani.

  • TYPING IN CAPS - coultrane MEANS BUSINESS!!

  • Giuliani is a POS LIAR! He is incompetent and anti FREEDOM!

  • Canada (comparatively) is the LEAST socialized med of all practicing countries. Their ratio of public/private dollars is 70/30 (ours is 45/55). Germany is 80/20, France and UK is almost 100% public. The more socialized, the more problems with quality, the longer the waiting lists, the more emphasis on gov to keep costs down. All of the aforementioned countries have had fiscal troubles in the last couple of years caused by the massive amount it takes to have ONE (gov) provider of all HC.

  • Thanks JustJoel, I'll look into it tomorrow!

  • Twice

  • Again, you can type hsa high-deductible health insurance, and get quotes. Many are less than 3000 annually (just have your calculator handy). Some are less than 2,500. Even with 650 yearly in your HSA (which would cover numerous doctor visits, glasses, eye exams, generic prescript drugs) the number is still around 3000.

  • There is no quote center, an HSA goes through the treasury dept like an IRA. Again, if your insurance only covers the more major problems (cancer, ER visits, etc), then how often would your deductible need to be replaced? How many times in the last two years have you had a serious injury or medical problem or been to the ER?

  • A deductible is something you'll pay EVERY time if you have a problem. You pay less per month, but get dinged when you use medical care. See how that works? I still cannot find any quote center with a $12 per month price that you listed before.

  • Incorrect. This isn't Canada's health care system. Why would you assume if we had socialized medicine it'd be just like Canada's?
