my car smokes like this, does any body have any idea what is making it smoke? i know it has oldddd assss gas in it it has 6 year old gas, do you all think thats the only problem?

@TheSuzukirider01 It might be, now it could be smoking for a number of reasons, mine was smoking in the video because the mixture needed to be adjusted on the carb, she was dumping too much gas in, but if a head gasket is gone or something it can cause it to burn oil or coolant and cause smoke, if its oil the smoke will be blueish, coolant will almost look like steam.

My father gave me his 86 ta. It's the two tone red with gray borders. Can't really start it though because it's been sitting in a garage for 11 years. How's changing the sparkplugs on this beast?

@jimmykudo23 Pain in the cock, I did it about a month ago, you can do it from under the hood, but its way easier from underneath, especially trying to get a number 7 cylinders plug.

@jimmykudo23 what kind of transmission? From what you've described it sounds like the tranny's slipping. Is there any chance you could put a video up? If I could actually see the car in action, I might be able to tell what it is for sure.

@corvettels9 Yeah,i have the collectors insurnace but its ridculously expensive, because i don't have a garage. And my engine is acting up. when i open it up, it'll go to 60 with struggle, then it'll feel like its going into neutral and then after a few seconds kick into 3rd gear. Would u know how to approach fixing this? You've been a great help already i appreciate it

@jimmykudo23 I live in NY too, on Long Island. My only suggestion would be to get collector car insurance if it's possible, because it has a very low premium (some as low as $59) but you can only drive a certain amount of miles per year. The usual is about 2000 miles a year, so it couldn't really be a daily driver.

@jimmykudo23 and my father said he can't afford the 2 cars, so he wants to trade it in for the rt classic challenger. I really love the TA but if i can't afford the insurance(right now liability only around 400 every 6 months is hard to go for,i]'m 19 going on 20 i can't afford the crazy hike in insurance if i go on my own. You have any suggestions?)

@corvettels9 It runs great, at first it was miss firing, but i realized that i didn't have the last wire on tight behind the firewall for the plug. Rust ate out my gale banks y bend pipe. Luckily when my dad had the car he bought extra pieces because they do not make ex system for my car anymore. Also,right now its in the shop getting new brakes,rotors, and fluids. The only real problem i have is i might not be able to afford insurance, I live in NY and i dont have the garage for the collectors

@jimmykudo23 Do you know what was stopping it from starting? If it was carbed I would have said it's probably gummed up in the float, but that's obviously not it.

@corvettels9 its fuel injected, i got it started, i read the chilton book and saw a few vids. I'm still fixing it (Rust is the nemisis) Mechanic said its going to cost 1g to fully fix all of it.
