Pinnacles 3 2 1

Pinnacles National Monument Prescribed Fire 2009 "Star Thistle Treatment". This five minute video shows firing under favorable conditions. A 3 - 2 - 1 firing pattern was used off of a dozer line. NPS E-31 is in the background supporting the firing. CAL FIRE is working on the other half of the burn unit with the second firing team. CAL FIRE GABILAN Crew 2 and 5, Pinnacles Monument Staff, BLM Crew 3169, Point Reyes National Seashore Fuels Crew 9, Golden Gate National Recreation Area Engine 1166, CAL FIRE engines 4666 and 4665, and one personnel from Southern Marin Fire District (me) assisting with the burn. June 9, 2009. Temp 70, RH 34%, Time:1330 hours, Wind: SSE 5-10 G-15. Thanks for the invite folks. It was a great learning experience.
