@Nep321 then why did you watch Dave Ramsey in the first place?
Coachrob36 2 weeks ago
@Nep321 Wrong on so many counts. I guess you missed the FIRST book of the Bible.
If God were in total control of everything(no free will) there would be no reason for the Bible.
God does act in life but the decisions are all up to you. Why is there evil in the world? Because free will exists.

@martyrdisciple Well, the Bible essentially teaches people to not become worried or concerned about their finances, because God is in control. Basically, sit back, relax and let God do everything. I just happen to believe that we humans are in control of our own lives and should make wise decisions using our own judgment rather than relying on a deity that may not even exist. For the contradictions, all you have to do is Google the subject or read an atheist book such as Godless by Dan Barker.

@Nep321 I would like to know what "makes little sense" in the Bible to you and I'm very interested in these "Contradictions" you speak of...

I think that a person who has lots of money has a higher probability of giving sound financial advice than a person who has little money.
How much money do you have?
Dave has lots of money. Until I find someone who has more money than Dave, and is as good a teacher, I will change my plan. But I have a feeling I will already be done worrying about it by the time comes!

@SoulDesign I would rather receive advice from a financial expert who explains things from a secular point of view rather than a religious point of view. The Bible does say a lot of good things about money, but it also says some things about money that make little sense. And not everyone, including myself, believes in the Bible. It was written by men and has numerous flaws, contradictions, and I don't believe it is the word of God, no more or less than the Koran or the Book of Mormon, etc.

@Nep321 The Bible teaches a lot about money. Why is implementing its principles, extremely successfully, lame?
SoulDesign 1 year ago
This guy lost me when he started referring to the Bible and Jesus and all that stuff in order to give financial advice. How utterly lame.

@SpankbankINC it's too bad you can't see the hypocrisy in this message. I like Dave Ramsey, I listen to his podcast when I'm working out all the time but he is by no means infallible.
He said we know the same things rich people know and then his next line said that if you figure out what they're doing you can do it and be rich.
How wealthy have you become since you found out this obvious truth is so simple to enact? Why don't you tell me how easy it is and what I need to do, or is it innate?
