The GT outpost is a great bike on a budget. We cannot compare it to $1000.00 bicycles of today but it beats the hell out of most high end bikes that I have. The triple triangle is a work of art and no longer in production. I restored my 1996 outpost trail to stock and I am amazed of it's ride. If you find one real cheap without the mods, buy it and you will not be disappointed. This bike is not for the jumps and off road punishment, but for the street it is a cadillac.
Out of the shitty quality of your camera it was hard to make out what you where saying but i have the same bike and if im correct your bike changes gears randomly. Now assuming you have solved the problem at this point its simply a bent link on the chain. just get a wrench and bend it back straight. Its a great bike but is has its problems like everything else.
i had this problem on my tempest2.0. i found out it was the rear derailer that had a sprain in it, which was twisting the chain, so when i went to change gear upwards on the cassette, it grinded on the rear cassette cogs. i found out the hard way, the derailer snapped and shot into the back wheel buckling it to hell.
hey man i have the same problem with this bike!i just bought it and it does the same thing=when i put 3 gear on the left then it doesnt put 2 gear if i dont put first 1 gear!!what i should do???please write soon!!
