"not as good as they think they are?" how do you know how good they think they are? Personally i think this is pretty decent. It isn't "jerky" and the connection isn't bad although it exists only through the arms.
If you can take a tip and you want to look really smooth then I'd advise spending some time in a dance form that teaches core leads - argentine tango is a good example. Learn to lead the girl from your core, through the arms and it will be an even better spectacle.

Sorry, but I don't think they are as good as they think they are, it's all quite eratic. It's not as fluid and sexy as it ought to be. These two don't seem very connected at all. Is this a showcase or just some bog standard moves? A little less aggression would help!

Hi,
The timing and smoothness are better on the original. The video encoding/decoding used by YouTube tends to get quit jerky when there is a lot of movement.
