Here is my instrumental cover of the song "A Groovy Kind Of Love" which was written by Toni Wine and Carol Bayer Sager in 1965. This version is based on Hank Marvin's recording which appeared on his album "Marvin At The Movies" in 2000.

On this one, I used my Fender Stratocaster (Bridge Pickup) and a Zoom G2.1Nu unit programmed with Charlie Hall's EFTP (Echoes From The Past [Patch B7]).

I recorded it via USB to my laptop and used Cubase to record and mix the track. The backing track is from the CD "Marvin MasterTrax Vol.1"

Hope you enjoy my version of this tune

  • @algaronjp Hi JP!

Really glad you enjoyed listening to my version of this lovely tune and thank you for your nice comments about my sound/phrasing. Had wanted to cover it for a while but my last few tries ended up as train wrecks, so I left it for a bit but now was the right time.

Hope the weather is nice where you are and your week is going well :)

    Kind Regards

    Chris

  • Hi Chris,

Beautifully played ! Always love the tone setting and your phrasing. I also love the Phil Coliins version of this awesome tune !

    Cheers,

    Algaron JP.
