Passport Problems Plague People

Americans have always been required to have a passport to travel overseas, but thanks to today's heightened security, that requirement now extends to Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean as well. And all those extra passports are causing Uncle Sam a problem...that he might just be passing along to you. Money reporter Stacy Johnson explains.

I have an Enhanced Driver's Licence through the State of Washington, I can travel to Mexico, Canada or the Bahamas by land or sea. There are only a few states and Canadian providence that do Enhanced Driver's Licences or ID cards.

I live in San Diego and have been going to Tijuana for 26 years. I have a passport. It's not hard to get one. I still think it's BS because now, every time I cross the border my passport is swiped as are my lisense plates and entered into the computer. The computer keeps this data. I'm not doing anything wrong but I feel like big brother is always watching.

The USA has one of the most fucked up systems in (passports and visas) in the world. Even getting student visa to the US is a fucked up process full of shit and queue and interviews with the fucking ambassador.
