Rep. Giffords to Resign From Congress This Week

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona says in a video on her campaign website she intends to resign from Congress this week to concentrate on recovering from wounds suffered in an assassination attempt a little more than a year ago.

@SnugglePuma they sure as hell do. look it up in the ADA ( for American with disablities act). they could of removed her with one simply hearing and vote. her condition is permanent brains damage, which is more severe than other diabilities that would of been ground for removal. 12 hours after the shooting they knew she was burned toast. there was no good reason to delay. people of her district were not being represented. she should NEVER of been allowed to vote on ANYTHING after the shooting.

don't think they'd go through these hoops for a conservative Republican. maybe a Lowell Weicker or Olympia Snow sort, but not a real conservative. if she was a con she would have never returned to vote for dogcatcher, Pelosi and company would have seen to that. and whats more, the GOP wouldn't have even tried, they know every media outlet except Fox would have smashed that notion, some on Fox too. when you uberlefties finally realize your goals will it surprise you that your usefullness expired?

@MrMightyblu ADA has nothing to do with congressional rules. They would have to sue and have experts testify that she was mentally incapacitated, which just isn't true. Her doctors say that she is fully coherent, she just can't speak that well. I'm not saying people should kill Republicans, just that they should get a gun, go to their house, knock on the front door, aim for the head, and follow your heart :)
