This is a cinema advertisment promoting Jack the Lad's classic 1974 folk-rock album 'The Old Straight Track'.
The band rose from the ashes of Lindisfarne, and featured Billy Mitchell, Ray Laidlaw, Simon Cowe, Ian 'Walter' Fairbairn, Phil Murray and, previously, Rod Clements.
Three of the band's albums have recently been reissued on CD.
Visit http;//www.jollybeggars.co.uk/jtl for more info.
Its a little weird to have an English bluegrass band. They sound more country than blue grass, or more celtic than blue grass. Bluegrass is sort of in the middle, but these guys are on either end.

Fairplay to this lot
Jack the lad (and the Carpettes) - the only bands with record deals to play Houghton-le-Spring.

Billy and Ray drink in my local, and still very much on the music scene.
