Here's a review from http://www.roguecinema.com

With any good short, you're always going to need a decent hook to it. Sometimes, if the dialogue is just right that's all you'll need and you can keep two people talking interesting enough to sustain your movie. Sometimes, it's an interesting plot device that just wouldn't work in any other format. With Snooze, it turned out to be an interesting little discovery in the fact that I got what the "hook" was right off the bat - and normally that might put one off from a movie but in my case I just started kicking myself. Why? Because it's such a good idea I'm surprised the concept hasn't been notably done several times before! Sure, there are films with continual dream sequences and such, but not done in quite the same way that Snooze does by tying everything together with a neat little ribbon and bow. It's only around six minutes, but it's definitely a lot of fun.

The story revolves around Scotty, a movie geek who has had his share of letdowns in his love life. However, things just seem to be giong just right as he might have met the girl of his dreams at the library. As the two talk and get to know each other it comes out that she is a huge Frankenstein fan - just like Scotty! She's checking out a book on the re-animated man although neither one of them is a huge reader. Scotty is just about ready to make his move, when all of a sudden he hears the annoying beep of his alarm. Turns out Scotty has been dreaming and as he reaches over for the Snooze button, he prays he'll once again find the girl of his dreams. The kind of girl who just doesn't exist in real life.

It's a very simple hook, but between the combination of actual transitional FX work and some funny ideas at use it actually plays really well. The focus on Frankenstein is great and is the first real hint that this might be a dream. Beautiful girls + books on monsters? If that isn't a hint I don't know what is! The cast do a good job in keeping things interesting and play off the comedy with just the right pitch. It's incredibly short in length, but it's all you really need to get what the filmmakers were going for. Certainly a fun little romp and should be interesting to see where the filmmakers might go from here! You can find out more about the filmmakers and Snooze at http://www.nrsfilm.com/Snooze.html. If you get the chance to check it out, take a look and I'm sure you'll be kicking yourself for not thinking of doing it as well!
