Mafia 2 Demo Benchmark - Core i7 920 @ 4.0GHz + MSI Cyclone 460 GTX SLI

I Recorded the benchmark from the game with my new SLI system and i have to say that those 2 card doesnt really show its potentiall with this benchmark but helped more on the solo side...

One Previously installed HD4890 scored: min 17.2, avg, 52.1, max 200
and it had the same settings in the video exept no physx

One Physicly installed 460 GTX scored: min 14.9, avg 41.8, max 200
Two Physicly installed 460 GTX scored: min 23.3, avg 62.9, max 200
on both same settings and phyx ON and updated (it removes the sli and/or slow game phyx issues)

What do u get with AA on an AFx16? avg?

@GamerX7800X I had the same setting like in this video exept AA on and 16xAF so here is my result

SLI 39.0

SLI deactivated, rendering on 1st & phyx on 2nd card: 35.5

SLI deactivated & both rendering and phyx on the same card: 31.6

as you clearly see sli & phyx combined doesnt work really well on this title... im aint sure if its my hardware or this game. One thing is sure is that it is the only game that i had issues with SLI. I hope I answered your question.

@TheGamer85Play Hmm.. i think its because on deactivated, the game can use the full physX power of the second card, since this game is on of the first games which support Nvidia PhysX

Do you get any mini stuttering while playing? Because im getting mini stuttering when SLI is turned on (9800GTX Sli) and fraps doesn't react to the mini stuttering.

@GamerX7800X I have tested with msi afterburner some time ago and phyx barely used the card on its own so i dont think that it is the reason of why it doesnt work well with phyx and sli. I have had stuttering while playing but only at the begaining (couple of minutes) after that it was smooth but low in performance. SLI disabled removed all those negative effect so i played the whole game without SLI.

@TheGamer85Play Yeah,.. sometimes i have a weird framedrop to 20fps while there isn't alot going on on the screen.. and then suddenly it goes up again to 60/70fps..

I just finished the game 10 mins ago for the second time, i just love mafia stories! :D

@GamerX7800X i have exactly the same issues when sli/physx is on. I dont understand why they didnt fixed it. Anyway its better to say that sli isnt well supported.

LOL?!?! 100 FPS on super ultra settings??? I get only maximum 25 FPS on the lowest setting on my MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo...

@KingStivan ok with AA i got 51.5 fps i think the new 280.19 drivers are gr8 !!

i hate this game not the hole game just its not good on sli ..... yet with the new driver i just made a benchmark its about the same system as yours but i have 560ti`s and to my surprise i got a 56fps rank C ! ok i might play the game now :P i will try it with AA and come back to u.

Hmm, my 9800GT SLI do work better than solo but sure not 90% +

SLI in some games really isnt optimized...

I hate the fact that most of the SLI setups stop working when Frapsing gameplay, where in both Crysis it even records in 1080p with both GPUs running 99% :)

Both original Crysis are just perfect for SLI setups
