The fact is the 4 gospels are 4 different accounts of the same event, told from 4 very different perspectives. I agree they are "basically" the same the facts bear out diffs in technical details.
If you really believe in the complete accuracy of the gospels I suggest calling the publishers to the carpet. They are the ones who blatantly discredit many verses, and portions in the footnotes; yet organized religion seems to give the publishers a free-ride and expects us to blindly follow along.
