All I can say is that grab by Ricketts during the corner was pretty cool.

I agree it was a reaction but it was in a motion for him to turn his back to the ball which is not a soccer move nor was it in my mind in the running motion. This is reminiscent of Kasey Keller getting a red for handling it outside of the area it would have hit him in the chest but he moved his arm into his body to help shield himself resulting in the ball striking his arm and the ensuing red. I do agree there was time before the call was made and perhaps LD did sway the ref to the right call

Amazingly thoughtful and well written, I still disagree with it not being a running motion but I respect you opinion. If you can honestly imagine him being able to move his hand to interfer with the play with that reaction time, then yes spot kick, however its similar natural reaction to when a player in the wall protects his area...natural reaction, but its close enough to go either way just seems like a lot of time passed with a whinning LD before the call (correct or not) was made

Haha, i watch Arsenal football avidly. The Gunners are about playing the game of soccer, not acting. If Donavan wants to act take him to Hollywood, if not, tell him to stop goofing off. And btw i despise Cristiano Ronaldo for the same thing. I'm just saying that Donavan gets away with murder because "he's the best in the league" Just play the game!

if you watch the replay its not a "running motion" that puts his arm in the balls path as LD kicks it Stammler raises his arm and the ball then makes contact to me this is a penalty...im not a galaxy fan im just sayin i think that was a proper call. If you look back at TFC vs FC Dallas that pen against Marvell Wynn is one that i think fits your description and should not have been made. This one though i think stammler raises his arm

Landon Donavon just annoys me, he's good, but i wish he would stop whining to the refs. That's why he won't play for an international team, because he wouldn't get the calls.
