@bottomgunner You can make sugar water yourself with a 1:1 ratio (e.g. 6 cups of water and 5 pounds of sugar.) You will need to feed the bees this soulution until lots of flowers are blooming.

I received my two packages of bees from Georgia this morning. This is my first time beekeeping. Your going without the suit of armor helped ease my mind. I did the same and wasn't stung. I did get a little nervous when I too dropped the queen and had to stick my hand into about 9,500 bees to retrieve her. Many thanks for this great video. Also like your comment about how to make a bee feeder...clever and easy.
