which folder you used for install?
If you selected half life folder just reinstall big pack with esf folder

ok ill tell you then.first what version of ecx are you using ecx rc1 or ecx rc2?if your using ecx rc1 then it won't work you need ecx rc2 ok so forget about the rc1 and install rc2 then install bigpack 8.4there
