Battlefield 3 Beta - Using the ECM Jammer unlock on Jet

ECM Jammer testing with Jet. It seems that this doesn't work quite well or maybe I am just using it wrong. It works when it wants, but I am assuming its like flares where it has a reload time and I am just using it when it is still reloading. Has anyone else had any luck using the Jammer and if so how did you use it?

the only reason i would see ECM jammer be good is if you know there is a soflam you. Other than that flares are better cause you know when they fired the missle. For jammer you get lock make you blow ecm and retarget you.

So David I have question for you, I am really big fan of BF3 because I be playing with the jets lately and every time I fly over a base I am always getting lock by a stinger what the best gadget to use beside smoke because it seems like it never work for me sometimes even when I do a maneuver roll and altitude so many times, if you can help me with that I will definitely I appreciate that.

@S3xiepapi69 if I have engineers with stingers, as soon as the first locks on me I try to head as far away as I can, that is if I am not engaging someone, I will take the first stinger, normally brings me down to 50% or maybe lower or higher sometimes. Because I eat the stingers I normally use Extinguisher as my mod so when I am out of range I use it to bring my health back up high enough that I my plane will repair on its own. I try to stay away from their base at all cost usually.

Dude the ECM only works when

The ECM Jammer, Is to be used as soon as someone locks on to you. NOT when a heatseeker / rocket is coming towards you.

emc only works to prevent a lock on so once a missile is launched you have had it.

@Nosirrah97 chaff are small bits of tin foil like u wrap your sandwiches in and they disrupt the missiles guidance system kind of like a mirror.
