Touareg vs Nissan

touareg pulls nissan from quick sand,
Nissan went down in the Quick sand on Morton Island off Brisbane Australia. We only had a very short time to pull him out with a incoming tide, and the car sinking deeper every minute. There was NO sign of the quick sand before he drove on it, so be warned when on the beach over there DONT do it alone. We only had one pull on the strap as we didn't want to rock the car and it to get down more. The Touareg is and R5 2.5l Diesel I only wish it was the V10. It was a hard and Fast pull but that is what is sometimes needed. Both cars are fitted with rated tow hooks and Haymans, strap was a rated 6 ton.
This video serves as a reminder that touaregs my be not the best off road car, but they can and go work off road very well, and to all those nissan drivers out there even the nissan with 35's lift kits and twin lockers get stuck and all it takes is a City 4WD to show you up.

@mad4klj Yes i have thats why if you look closer i have removed the ball and hitch, and snatching directly off the RATED pin. RATED for 6 ton.

Finally a bit of common sense. The video is about a mate helping a mate, out of a very bad situation. His car was about to sink further into the sand then causing a suction effect which would stop it from being pulled out by any 4x4. Therefore we only had one try to do it safely and quickly, hence the running around. Yes the Nissan is the better 4wd, yes the VW is a city car, but when you’re stuck does it matter who pulls who!

Excellent good work on getting him out of that mess. Next time you snatch just drive off like you usually would to snatch him out, there is no need to floor the loud pedal.
