Alvy: The Story of a Rescued Keeshond

Alvy was rescued at the eleventh hour and today is healthy and happy, thanks to The Friends of Powell County Animals, the Keeshond Sunshine Rescue Fund, the Gidget Fund, and Dr Andy McCord of Gainesway Animal Clinic in Lexington KY.

Made me cry..but I wish some rescue groups wouldn't make it so very hard to adopt dogs. Sometimes you want to give a dog a home, but if you're not good enough, or if they're not willing to give your family a chance, then there's some rescue dogs that miss out, and families wishing they could help.

That just warms your heart! It is beautiful to see Alvy spoiled rotten and happy as pie. When he was wearing the one halter, I had to chuckle, he had that look of I don't think so, the look my keeshond Queeny used to give us, when she thought, that this was just not her cup of tea. A puppy mill rescue, we nearly had to put her down back then but she fought and lived happily for 17 years. We still miss her, super protective of us kids and so very loving. Hope you have many happy years with Alvy

Great story, thanks. We adopted an abandoned Keeshond from a shelter who was in almost as bad a shape as your dog and we had 12 wonderful years with her. She passed away last year and I still miss her so much. It may be time to find another friend in need!

I really like the Keeshond I want my own familly of Keeshond for my farm, I know they pretty good guardian plus so honest and loyal I love all animals, but Keeshond are just more then dogs... Iw ould like to know what's this song ! Thanks !

I adopted my kees from the shelter and had 12 wonderful years with him.I had to put him down two years ago and still miss him.I can't have a dog right now but I do believe in getting them from rescue or a shelter.Thanks for making the video.
