I love the Magnetic Fields and grew up listening to them, but I like this version more. This song captures the same sadness but also the wistful beauty associated with freedom. It's really not a competition though. Each artist has their own style

Magnetic fields are my favourite band. Close second are Bright eyes. I cannot express how happy I am to find this cover.

@kevinkevinkevink i am a huge fan of conor oberst, but this is not better than the original. the magnetic fields capture a lot in their version that this version doesnt even touched on. Also, is it just me, or does the original version of this song have a similar beat behind it compared to that of lover i dont have to love?
