Shitty AE86 drifting.

The car isn't shitty, I am. Lol learning to drift, it helps to watch the footage afterwards. I need to steer less, react quicker, leave a bit of steering angle and not sit at lock, learn throttle modulation, and generally not SPIN SO FUCKING MUCH

I was getting better by the end of the day, completing runs without spinning but ran out of memory card space

@RhoadRacing horrible old 13" tires... whatever i use is stuff i get free from tire piles.

Sometimes i run 14" but the tires i used in this vid SUCKED

@belmontparkers I had a set of 13s that wouldn't die so i kept using them all day, but near the end i switched to another set and it felt like so much more traction. I wish i had footage of that, or qualifying...etc

at 5:09 you can tell how slippery the tires are after removing the exhaust

anyone out there drift a ae86 on 15/195, having serous grip issues with mine, too much understeer up front and cant aggressivly throw the car without pushing the nose, and seems too be too much grip at the back???? running proxie t1r up front and kuhmo ecsta at the back for now any help appriciated, thanks

@dugwillis84 I totally get what you mean. The last event I went to I used Falken 615's on the rear; LOVED THEM. I could put the car any where I wanted to. Burned through those and slapped on some shitty, old, generic tires from a pile and the car became incredibly hard to drive. I ultimately, hit the wall because I was struggling so much to over power the shitty tires.

cool beans man, I have the same issue when I come into a switch back, the car pitches the other way too much and I spin out. I think it might have something to do with my panhard bar or just not steer as much when the car switches back.
