One of the last films I did in film school. It was for an acting class (I'm the guy in the blue shirt). Although this film was made for an acting class, my focus was primarily on production. I wrote, directed, and edited this film.
I learned the challenges of trying to act and direct at the same time while making this film. Typical of film school, only one of 3 guys scheduled to help out in the interior shoots showed up. I spent a long time arguing with him about lighting. I wanted to plan the lighting for each shot and he wanted to plow threw and trust his instincts. I ended up letting him have his way, time was running out and I needed to get into character. As you can probably see, his instinct for lighting was crap. As a side note, if you're ever on a film shoot and someone says, "ah, don't worry about it they can fix it in post," walk over and slap him.
