Cassie's POV:
I heard the alarm clock go off and my eyes snapped open. Oh, bad idea. The sun burned my eyes. Great, I just wake up and I'm already tearing up. I rush to the bathroom, trying not to slam the door too hard. Mom says that I've been as strong as my Dad ever since I was born. *sigh* Dad. I miss him. But I don't wanna think about him and start crying for the second time today and it's only.... 9:02?!?! OH MY GOSH I'M LATE! I ran to the clock to make sure my eyes were telling me the truth. But I ended up groaning instead. The clock said 6:02 instead of nine. Ugh I need glasses for sure. But I can see perfectly close up. Far away is a whole nother story. I brushed my teeth and took a quick shower. Then I shaved my legs and arms and put baby oil on them. But as soon as I finished, Cathy was already awake.

Cathy's POV:
I heard water running and I opened my eyes carefully and looked at the clock. Unlike Cassie, who was blind as a bat, my vision was perfect. 20/20 to be exact. Plus, she's always waking up and snapping her eyes open. I think the sun blinded her so many times that she couldn't see like she could when she was a kid. Most people say we were blessed cause we were both born with perfect eyesight. But Cassie just had to mess it up by waking up so suddenly. I always teased her and said she had nightmares every night and that's why she woke up so suddenly as if frightened. I rose out of bed the same time Cassie came out of the bathroom. She was wrapped around in a light blue soft looking towel and her hair was damp and up to her shoulders. That wasn't the real height of her hair though. We both had almost waist-length hair. That's another one of our advantages. I went in the bathroom and did my daily cleaning routine, which was basically the same as Cassie's. I brushed my teeth, took a bath, shaved, applyed baby oil to my skin then came out of the bathroom in a red soft towel.

Cat: Good Morning.
Cass: Whatever
Cat: *laughs* Did the sun blind you again?
Cass: No, not today. *Puts rag over eyes to stop the burning*
Cat: Liar. Isn't that the rag Mom gave you to put over your eyes whenever the sun...
Cass: OKAY OKAY THE SUN BLINDED ME AGAIN. HAPPY?
Cat: Very. *smiles* But that's not the only reason your so grumpy today, is it?
Cass: What are you? A mind-reader?
Cat: May I remind you that we're identical twins.There's nothing that you think that I can't hear. *giggles*
Cass: How could I forget? Whenever I'm talking to you, it's like I'm talking to an annoying version of myself.
Cassie's POV
Okay, here's the thing. Me and Cathy look exactly alike. We even have the same birthmarks. We have chocolate brown eyes and even darker hair. Though our skin is cream, we were almost born in Jamaica. Our mom was pregnant and she was coming back from Jamaica when half way through the ride, we decided we wanted to come out. She started panicing and yelling at the pilot to fly faster. Luckly, there was a hospital right next to the airport and we got delivered safely. Anyways, Cathy and me were gonna be late if we didn't hurry, cause it takes a while to get to school.

Cass: *Downstairs* Cmon Cat! If you don't hurry, you're gonna get detention on the first day!
Cat: Wouldn't think of it! *Comes downstaris*
Maria: Oh don't you girls look adorable! Catherine, your hair looks so pretty when it's curled! And Cassandra, your hair looks perfecto when straight!
Cass and Cat: Thanks Mom.
Maria: Are you girls ready for your first day of school?
Cat: Always
Cass: Are you kidding me? I wish time would rewind and summer would start again.
Maria: Mija, the first day of school isn't that bad. It's actually pretty fun when you get to see all your friends again and you get to see that bonito nino Justin again. *Raises eyebrows and winks at daughter*
Cass: MOM! Stop embarrasing me. And please stop with the Spanish.
Maria: *laughs* Lo siento mija.
Cassie's POV:
Did I mention that we're Dominican? Yeah, my mom always talks spanish whenever she's homesick, which is basically all the time. Oh man we gotta get going to school.

Cass: Why didn't you have a boy, Mom? *Pecks Mother on cheek*
Maria: Sorry to disappoint you mija. *Chuckles* Have a bueano day at school girls!
Cass and Cat: Thanks Mom. Have a good day at work! *walks out of the door*
