My first crash with the new quad rotor heli. Flying it against an overcast sky, I could only see the silhouette, and got disoriented. Bent motor mounts were the only damage - I bent them back and flew it immediately.
This quad uses a Parallax Propeller chip as the main controller, and an ITG-3200 3-axis gyroscope for stability. No other sensors are currently in use.
Love this unit. The Propeller chip is very nice. Multitasking should surely come in handy. The stability is very impressive. Could you tell me about how much this unit has cost you so far?

@FlyMario2 - $50 for the gyro sensor, $25 for the Parallax Protoboard, $30 for each motor ($120), $10 for the arms ($40), and then landing gear and assorted other bits probably adds another $50 or so. I already had the radio system and battery, which aren't cheap, and I made the body and motor mounts on my CNC machine. I've used plastic plumbing fittings before and they work just fine.
So, probably $300 for the unit itself, plus battery, receiver, and transmitter.
