Bingo. Once again, he nails it. This was the huge failure of the green movement. A semantic fuck up. Nobody cares (nor should they) about the planet. It will survive. George is insanely brilliant - he's not necessarily saying that caring for the planet is bad; he's just saying that we need to prioritize and take care of our species first and foremost, which has been a massive failure for as long mankind existed. Just look at the number of religon-and power-based wars we've fought, and the number of slaughters we've committed for self-interest... and he's abso-fuckinglutely right...sooner or later mother Earth will shake us off like a bad case of the fleas.

George is right. Though, theoretically, it is possible for human beings to destroy the planet. That is, to destroy the iron rock that we call Earth. The technology exists for us to literally blow the Earth into an oblivion. That being said, I do believe we should have some level of respect for our habitat. But these environmentalists, who are really just anti-industrialists, really do make me sick.
