With a written history of more than 2,000 years, Tibet existed as an independent
sovereign state prior to Chinese invasion in 1949. But having no representation
in the United Nations, the world largely stood by and allowed China's
occupation and destruction to happen.

China's policy of occupation and oppression has resulted in no more or less than
the destruction of Tibet's national independence, culture and religion, environment
and the universal human rights of its people. Time and time again, the infliction of
this destruction sees China break international laws with impunity.

The Tibetan Uprising inside Tibet from March 2008 through April, May and
June. Proved Chinese brutality and Tibetan resistance and that the
Tibetan inside Tibet want independence from Chinese occupation the world
can now no longer stand a side and watch. We are all witness to this injustice
and suffering.

31st March 2009, marks the 50 years of coercion and subjugation of 6 million
Tibetans inside Tibet under the totalitarian rule of Chinese government. Now
Tibetan issue has grown into larger issue which also concern India's national
security. Hence, we urge GOVT and the people of India to voice and support
the Tibetan freedom struggle and raise the issue of Tibet in National and
International arena.

Mr.Sherab Tsedor, the President of YVFT along with the Tibetan Tibetan
Refugge Market,Aurgabad will hold 02HRS peaceful Press Confrence in Tibetan Refugee Market
and Mr. Tsedor is also planning to hold similar activities in 50 different
places all over India to highlight 50 years of Chinese oppression inside Tibet.

The main purpose of the peaceful demonstration is to project the plight and
sufferings of the Tibetan people inside Tibet for 50 long years and also to
call all the people to rise up and stand in solidarity with Tibetans
inside Tibet. Our peaceful demonstration also aims to show our deepest
gratitude to those people who sacrifice their lives for the cause of their people.

Demands of the protest:

1. Release XIth Panchen Lama Gendhun Choekyi Nyima and other
Tibetan political prisoners.
2. Stop Human rights violation inside Tibet.
3. China must show sincerity in Sino-Tibet.
4. Stop influx of Han Chinese population into Tibet.
