Recorded live at NAMM 2009. Composer, remixer and producer Justin Lassen (creator of the 'Synaesthesia' series) tells what he likes best about the SONAR V-Studio 700 package. The Fantom VS (Roland Synthesizer) and Channel Strip / EQ controls are among his favorite features.

  • I've worked with both. Frankly, you get more for your money with Sonar.

Plus, you can transfer files over to Broadcast Wave files so you can open them up in Pro Tools. This is done in case you have to work with some one who uses Pro -Tools. In my case, one of the guys I work with is in another state. So, we transfer files back and forth over the net. He has Pro-Tools, I have Sonar.

  • well because it's a fair bit of money I'd do some research into both, if I was you. Perhaps even demo both of them if your near a pro audio shop. have a look at the cakewalk site also , there is more info. Cakewalk themselves published more videos with more info on also.

  • cool. why should i get this instead of pro tools though?

  • Cool vid thanks. Did you do a collection of ACid loops? I recognize the last name for some reason (other than your producing/composer work that is ;)
