Recording Live in the Studio - "Makis Stefanidis Trio"

the track is "Blues for Teo" a composition by Lakis Tzimkas....a truly old school style live recording with all musicians and their amps in the same room with Makis Stefanidis and his Trio (Lakis Tzimkas on bass and Christos Yermenoglou on drums). This was recorded partially for our drum recording dvd (as bonus material) in which mr.Germenoglou demonstrates his unique playing style and sound and partially for fun.....and actually we had a great time working with such great musicians!!!
Some tech info....the drums were recorded based on the G.Johns technique (using 2 different LDC's) while the guitar amp was miced with a TLM 170 and a 57 and the bass amp with a 414 XLS mixed with the amp's direct out.
Custom panels were used to provide some separation for the micing however leakage is a crucial factor of the final sound.....hope you'll enjoy it as we did!!
