@Wasalubin religion is just a set of guidelines... people bend rules as soon as life sets up resistance to the rules and so all Mohammed did was to convert pagans into muslims, the people remain the same. Islam is pretty unforgiving when it comes to womens freedom to speak for themselves so why would it change the male dominated traditions of thousands of years? And further, who's to say that they are wrong?
