  • The question is, if America is all about freedom and justice, why didn't they support Sankara and Patrice Lumumba? I am a 34 year old black male and I just learned about this man yesterday. I think that is a damn shame. In America, Black Americans are not only kept from our Black American history but our African history also. Thank God for youtube. People like Sankara and Steven Biko are real heroes to me. I'll keep searching for more!!!!!!!!

  • His children were pedalled to school on the back seat of bicycles. We raised concerns about their safety but Sankara said he wanted his children to grow up modestly like every normal Burkinabé child. Can you imagine the children of an African President on bikes to school? That was Thomas Sankara!--Gambia Echo interview with Fidele Keitenga, Sankara's foreign policy advisor.

  • @abs2ray I only mentioned those people because I was trying to familiarize you with names of people I figured you haven't heard about. I never forget Nkrumah or Lumumba and Senghor was definitely a peaceful leader that helped Senegal a lot. Many might view him as a sellout of some sort, and he was a little, but because of him, there was never any ethnic tension among ppl in Senegal. Never a war in the 50 years that Senegal has been independent. Commendable.

  • @hustlaus Please keep searching!!!! And do not let go of Malcolm!!! He is our own black prince.

  • @NewbianGem7 I don't think I would have included Senghore in your list but have you noticed great African leaders never stay for long. They have all been taken out by Western Powers. please don't forget to mention Nkrumah, Lumumba...

  • shed a few tears when this guy died. A true African hero

  • Sankara has nothing to do with Guevara. Guevara was a murderer, a sadistic killer preaching an ideology of death, doom and terror. Sankara is a the total opposite of that, he tried to lift up his own country, not lower it down and ruin his people.

  • @hustlaus Let me help you further brother lol, look up Amilcar Cabral, Aime Cesaire, Samora Machel (there are skewed reports on him, don't be fooled), Julius Nyerere, Leopold Sedar Senghor... That's all I have for now, but I'm sure you'll find more if you look into these people, their names should lead you to many others. Peace.

  • @hustlaus Keep doing that brother!

  • @garryentropy well its hard to describe because they liked him because of his really people friendly laws but on the other hand they're happy about him being dead.

Blaise Compaoré his best friend murdered him and took over so no one is really allowed to show much compassion towards Sankhara

  • @Terrozman do they like him?

  • @hustlaus If your intereseted in him i'd suggest reading Black angel my guardian

its a book about a womans tour around Burkina Faso. You really get the feeling of knowing how people from Burkina Faso feel about him.
