POETRY IN MOTION ~ Johnny Tillotson ~ 1960 ~ Cadence Records.
This is the tune that made Johnny Tillotson a "Teen Idol" . Others included:
DREAMY EYES, WITHOUT YOU, & IT KEEPS RIGHT ON-A HURTIN'.
POETRY IN MOTION is one of my personal favorites because of "the sound". It rates with Bobby Darin's DREAM LOVER, Steve Lawrence's PRETTY BLUE EYES, Bobby Rydell's LITTLE BITTY GIRL & Paul Anka's PUT YOUR HEAD ON MY SHOULDER. It's all in "the sound" .
Johnny Tillotson performed POETRY IN MOTION on Dick Clark's AMERICAN BANDSTAND on Thursday - September 22, 1960. The song first hit the charts on October 10, 1960, stayed on the charts for 15 weeks , & peaked at #2.

Gosh... just realized it is a half a century old tune ... I remember once this tune came out of the wooden-box, listen to it, thenafter did the hover like I was told to do.
