I was bored so I decided to do another YouTube Video. I must have been crazy to do this after appx. 16 hrs without sleep. That's why I made some (little) mistakes during the song. I'm sure the fans of Classic Rock know this one. It's Mistreated! Orginaly recorded and played by the Mk III line-up from Deep Purple in 1974.
Some words about making this video:
I used my old Squire Stratocaster I bought for 150 D-Mark (75 EUR) in 2000. As usual: I used Guitar Rig with my self made preset to get my guitar sound. I've added a delay to my guitar sound because I think it fits the song pretty well. Most of the guitar solo's are improvised but I also took some phrases from the studio recording. The backing track I used to play to, is also a self made one. I took a MIDI file of this song and modified the sound of the instruments with SynthFont. I used the following SoundFont files and VST instruments:
Drums: Drums By Slavo v1.0 (SoundFont)
Bass: DSK BassZ (VST)
Organ: GSi VB3 (VST)
I usually don't share my self made backing tracks but in this case I uploaded it on hotfile.com:
http://hotfile.com/dl/33127585/d06de25/Deep_Purple_-_Mistreated_(Backing_Trac...
Jam to it, practise the song with it, but don't make money with it.
Thanks for watching. Have fun with the video and with the backing track. Keep on rockin'
