The sports of kings . How could we ever forget this race .

I was there! The crowd went mental when Bazza gave Roberts his "special sign". Top man. And a legend. Gone but never forgotten.
-
I remember watching this as a teenager! - Even at that age Murray,i new that Sheene was giving Roberts the fingers, and not waving at him!...Ha ha!

@MetricHotrodsdotcom ....Hey come on mate....Im a Brit and have followed the 500's and Moto GP for years.....Roberts was the man we "loved to hate" simply because of his rivalry with Sheene..but we had an admiration for him..since then the Brits have taken Schwantz, Rainey, Lawson, Mamola etc to their hearts...I was at Silverstone a few months ago to see Colin Edwards get a podium finish in the British GP..and let me tell ya..the British crowd literally roared him round that circuit!..Peace bro!

shallow british crowd cheers anytime someone passes the american.
faggots.
Rossi rides a bike with fantastic tyres, brilliant frame, whide spread of power. At low revs you could go down to the shops. These guys rode bloody animals with crap tyres, lousy suspension and knife edge power bands. Roberts bike only made power over 9000 revs. And people died on those bikes. Thats why Roberts is the king.
