  • How much was your art grant from braf?

Holy shit that looks like an immense undertaking!

  • The art was incredible and burning of the tower was something else. I highly commend the artists and the crew for work well done.

  • What was especially gripping about the Crude Awakening experience was/is that during the pyrotechnic display, the fire ball and the Giant propane torch, Most, if not ALL, of the Spectators/Participants were displaying the same emotions and forms of worship that the Giant Figures displayed. AMAZING! We are sooooo Addicted to the Stuff!!! My/Our Sincere Gratitude to the Artists and Producers of CRUDE AWAKENING. Please Continue BEING.

  • Ditto to all 'Blown Away' Comments. We were at BM to experience the miracle of the artists' message. It was/is Amazing to wake up to the 'sober' truth about cheap energy. For instance, one gallon of gasoline contains/releases approximately 600 hours of shoveling. Imagine THAT! We drove an RV from/to Fresno which required over 100 gallons of the stuff = 60,000 hours of hard labor.

  • thanks you guys that was trully a profound experience, and increadibly gutsy

  • Thanks for your work it was better than the burining of the man for me what a great experience for being a virgin this year at Burning Man

  • This installation was, hands-down, one of the most powerful and effective performances I have ever witnessed in my life - I wept openly through the first 10 minutes. I honestly think I'll never be the same. I hope so much that someone got good video from a distance, and that there is a lot of documentation of the creative process for this project.

  • There were so many amazing things out at Burning Man this year but this was the most profound art installation out there by far. Surrounded by Giants is putting it mildly. Giants and a mushroom cloud only starts to explain it.

  • Oh my goodness I can't wait to see these things up close!

  • This is excellent, here are pictures of the oilwell being built on the playa as of friday
