@MissKristiLee, We had a lot of breastfeeding issues and tried very hard to make it work. Eventually, after several months of stress for us both (and some medical issues like allergies, a tongue tie and reflux), we switched to formula. My advice is to try as hard as you can, but don't beat yourself up if it doesn't work out. Every baby is different.

@sCeNeMuTt, No, they did not use suction, but the baby was posterior and had a very hard time getting through the birth canal. Not to worry -- his head looked normal just a few hours later.
@MegaCrackedEgg, Yes, I did end up having an epidural around 6cm.
