It's a pretty odd name for a pretty odd mission. The Deep Dark Galaxy still makes no sense to me anyway, so I guess the idea is to expect the unexpected...

This is apparently one of the more difficult secret Stars to get, since there is neither a Hungry Luma to feed nor is Luigi asking you to find him.

I wonder what happens if Mario falls through the hole in that box...

@bok1bok3 Yeah,and on the original Super mario Brothers (1985) when you got 100 coins,you got a one up. THEN on the first Sonic game (1991,that was after Super Mario brothers was out) when you got 100 RINGS,you got a one up.

i found this star completly by fluke i was down ther and i randonmly shot the shell then i saw the star, but getting the star from the boo was a bitch tho alwasy died by that pointy thing
