Firefighters risk their lives to save a girl trapped under a flaming gasoline tanker. This segment was taken from Episode 325, a special international episode, that aired on May 12, 1992. It was also featured with William Shatner's commentary dubbed over by another narrator on the Rescue 911 video "World's Greatest Rescues" which was released on May 27, 1997. • Well ummm.....what happened to the truck driver?????? I presume he died, also?

  • No. In the first part it said he got out and help rescue the girl's mom from the burning car.

  • for all you wannabe gangsters who say they hate cops...when u end up in a situation like this..guess who will be trying to save you?

  • The fire department.

  • a501322914- if u did notice, it wasn't because she was parked in the middle of the road that caused the crash, the white car that tried to pull out in front of the tanker caused him to swere and hit brakes. pay attention before u open ur mouth

  • @allgood2000 Owned

  • This event just randomly came into my head tonight and I'm so glad I could find the footage.

Thank you for this. He's a hero......regardless of the petty politics that some people in New Zealand have on the matter.

  • @pug6666 i think he was sliding

  • I think this was also featured on "The World's Most Amazing Videos." Great story!

  • @fightboss u can inspect tankers all you want, but accidents will continue to happen. Many times it is not the tank driver's fault. There was an incident about 3 years ago near my home area, that involved a tanker. Irony is that the accident was caused by an incredibly rich doctor. Even to this day his wife continues to pester the oil company and tank truck driver. She continues to blame the tanker for an accident her husband caused.

  • they had a movie based on these actual events im not sure what it was called but it premiered on lifetime though

  • But Why did he move back into the lane she was parked in?

  • I was born the same day this video came out!

  • "It doesn't give adam" lol!
