From the "Kickin Up Dust" album in 1996.

Soca sensation Rupee (born Rupert Clarke) got his start with the Barbadian reggae group Coalishun, which he joined in 1996. In 1998, he wrote the international soca hit "Ice Cream" which launched his solo career.

  • the group Coalishun was not a reggae group.

  • What a tune dis. Remember hearing it back in '96-97 on the radio here in NY. Pity Coalishun didn't stay together much longer after this period. We need more mid-tempo groovy soca tunes like this these days. Well done Rupie.
