I don't believe in "timings". History tought me that evrything is according some plan, when US is involved! What happens now was planned ~20, 30 years ago.

I don't think what's happening in Balkans has something to do with religions. Maybe they also used religions as they used nationalism (Skopia, Albania).

The support of the weaker side in the conflict requires the presence of foreign forces to secure a long lasting peace. Supporting the stronger side helps resolve the conflict, brings stability to the region much faster and does not require foreign military presence in such a proportion.

This whole mess is just a strategic positioning of NATO for WW3.

Think of it as something like Hitler's peaceful annexion of Austria and Czechoslovakia prior to WW2.
