Great to see a vid of Brian. He did some great work for BG promotions as have a lot of todays stars. He also wrestled with Kid Leopard in the UK and cause a lot of heat and mayhem when they tagged together. Brian also did some single matches in the UK for tv. Great to see him.
in the late 80s and early 90s, brian was extremely lean and ripped, and with his ric flair gimmicks was more flair than flair himself. he knew how to work every inch of a ring. i believe he was trained by killer kowalski.
I forget the name of the wrestling circuit, but years ago, I watched a TV match in which Brian crushed a loser named Tommy Root, the only match I ever saw him win. They were evidently trying to give him a bit of a push on this circuit after he had lost his previous matches, but then he never appeared again.
Always been a huge Brian Walsh fan ever since the first match I'd ever seen him in as a kid, against 1-2-3 Kid (Sean Waltman) on WWF Wrestling Challenge. I believe it was back around 1994. I remember wanting Brian to win after he pulled out some good light heavyweight style offense on The Kid. Gorilla Monsoon was right in comparing Walsh to a young Bob Backlund. I've been a Brian Walsh "mark", as they say, ever since.
Wish I could meet him. Fantastic wrestler! Wonder if he's still active?
