Yesterday was the first of 2 annual record fairs in Utrecht, Holland. Went there and here's what I found!

  • C86! So many great bands associated with that movement! I've been listening to the Pastels, the Loft, the Shop Assistants, Orange Juice and so much more of late. Do you have many C86 bands on vinyl? I'd love to see a genre video dedicated to it.

  • @Indiecypherable79

A C86 genre video is on the lists of videos I want to do! So expect one in the future!

  • Love GBV! Excellent score! I need to grow my GBV collection - Nice Thurston Moore too (I've been looking for Trees Outside the Academy....if you don't know that album....Its amazing) Trumans Water! You found some real gems Stephan! Did you get good prices on the GBV? Hope so. Great vid my friend.

  • @glowing00cabbage

Those GBV were 14 euros each, which is a great price for those records. Hope to find more of their stuff in the future! Should check out that Thurston Moore record you mentioned, and I am also looking out for his new LP!

  • Good pickups, man! Got to open for GBV a couple of times during that era. I just picked up that Shellac record too! They have 3 other records to my knowledge. See also Rapeman and Big Black.

  • @TheGrecianThunder

Cool to hear that you've opened for GBV! I love Big Black and Rapeman!

Sadly I only have two records by Shellac (Terraform and Italian Greyhound). I should really get their other two records. Great band, great production and wonderful music!

  • @dereckvon

Thanks! I only knew Earth and Fire from later songs, which I didn't really like. But with all this great talk on Youtube about prog, I discovered some great Dutch stuff!! A great genre and I'm so glad you, BigStar and Jeff started showing prog records. You've opened up a complete new world to me!

  • @bigstar1000

Thanks! This bi-annual record fair is one I always visit. It seems that you can get some amazing stuff there. Can't wait for November when there's another record fair! I am curious what your honest opinion is of Alquin and Earth and Fire!

  • @TheInfiniteGroove

You should indeed get some Young Gods! Truly an amazing band, with a great sound!

  • @Blueecm

Thanks! I'm really glad with those Guided by Voices records. Hope to find more of their stuff on vinyl! And yes, C86... I just love that sound!!! :)
