Some idea of how you can use different features of the DrumKat to access different sounds on Superior 2.0. This explains how you can setup the DrumKat pads for different sound layers.

  • Thanks very much.i will be waiting for the setting to be downloaded as you suggest so that i can go through step by step.you see iam new at this thing and have no clue but a step by step will be of great help to me indeed....you mention to set supeiri to edrum mode where do i find that option is it in the vst or the drum kat?please a step by step of the setting for each pad will be heavenly to me.thanks

  • @mikeshavine Yet the edrum setting is in the vst, it's on the midi mapping screen.

  • hi how do you set up your hihat foot control ?to get open ,half open fully close setting?

can you please send me the seeting for these and the rest of your pads if thats ok with you.thats for supperrior drummer. Thanks very much for your help

  • @mikeshavine On the hi-hat pad on the Kat enter the pad edit and set to 'SIMPL' mode with the note set to number 42, then screen advance to check that the 'ftcrl' screen is using controller 4.

The key ingredient is to set Superior to edrum mode. this is found on the 'mapping' screen in the Presets/Midi/Note-Mapping menu.

When this is set it will use the controller 4 data to manage the level of openness on the hi-hat.

I'll try and stick the kit settings up somewhere to download.

  • what's between your drumkat an pc ? iam trying to wire up a dk-10 to ableton on mac but it gets no signals

  • @20tree I use an Echo AudioFire 4. You will need some type of mid interface. Test with MIDI Monitor, it is a good app to use to check a signal is coming through.
