This brings back some good memories of the 80´s. On Friday after school sitting at home on the couch and watching a special program always with a nice Karel Zeman movie as the main film ... i should look for his movies on amazon, hope they are available on DVD!

I have seen only one movie by Karel Zeman, but even so I can tell: THIS MAN IS THE MASTER! Czech people can really be proud about him!

Bring back handcrafted effects.

Computers should merely be tools, for instance, with editing and enhancing the special effects.

Everything done in the Lord of the Rings films and other modern special effects films could be done by hand, only now we have tools to make it better.

a lot of the lord of the rings was done with miniature sets and optical tricks

But a lot of it all the same was purely computer generated.

And they put a CG glaze over everything in those movies. Cate Blanchett looks like a cartoon.
